ARTICLE 1. INTRODUCTION
LAST LAP S.L. organizes the Estepona Half Marathon - Garden of the Costa del Sol, a race held alongside
the Estepona Marathon, taking place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, with the start at 8:15 a.m., and in
which all adults who wish to do so may participate without any distinction.
ARTICLE 2. CERTIFICATION
The course will measure 21.0975 kilometers and will be properly marked and timed. This race takes place
alongside the Estepona Marathon, under the RFEA Road Running Regulations, sharing with the Marathon the
organizational setup, the panel of judges, and the timing system. The course will be marked and signed
every kilometer.
ARTICLE 3. COURSE
With Start and Finish at the Estepona Municipal Athletics Stadium. In its first section (km 0 to 6) the
course runs jointly with the Marathon course, along Av. Juan Carlos I, Paseo Marítimo (Playa de la
Rada), Av. España, Av. Litoral and C. del Mare Nostrum.
From km 6 onwards, and unlike the Marathon, the Half Marathon course does not run along the A-7
Motorway: it continues along the A-7 Service Road and the coastal path (Punta de la Plata, P.º
Marítimo Pedro Manrique, Paseo Marítimo, Chiringuito Tropical) to the Estepona Marina and Playa del
Cristo, with the turnaround at Playa de Guadalobón (km 13, western end of the course).
The return to the finish runs along Av. del Carmen, Av. España, C. Real, C. Terraza and Av. Juan Carlos
I, to the Fairgrounds and the Municipal Athletics Stadium. Course published on the official Marathon

ARTICLE 4. SCHEDULE AND CUT-OFF TIMES
The race will start at 8:15 a.m. and the maximum time to complete the race is 2 hours and 45 minutes
from the official start, therefore the Finish Line will close at 11:00 a.m.

Participants who do not meet these cut-off times will be disqualified by the race judges,
being considered from that moment as runners outside the control time and out of the race, leaving the
traffic lanes if necessary.
ARTICLE 5. WHEELED DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT
The use of any wheeled device or equipment during the race is not permitted (including
handbikes), except for wheelchairs used by disabled athletes, approved by the Federation and
officially accepted by the Organization.
ARTICLE 6. REGISTRATION
6.1. REGISTRATION PERIOD:
From March 1, 2026, until Monday, October 5, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., in the online registration format,
or until the 1,000 available race bibs are sold out.
If race bibs remain available, a dedicated desk will be set up during the runner’s expo.
6.2. REGISTRATION FEES AND DEADLINES:

6.3. CONDITIONS:
To prove disability status, it will be necessary to attach certification of disability greater than
33% at the time of registration through the registration form itself.
Alternatively, a copy of the disability accreditation card indicating the degree
of disability may be sent by email to the same address.
From 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, the registration period will close, unless the
organization deems it appropriate to extend said period.
6.4. HOW TO REGISTER:
Online, at www.maratoncostadelsol.com, in the registration section.
6.5. CONSIDERATIONS:
- Registration is personal and non-transferable and implies full acceptance of the Technical Rules of
the race, including the Declaration of Responsibility included therein (Annex 1). ● Under no
circumstances, once registration has been completed, may participation be transferred to another
person due to inability to take part in the race or for any other reason.
6.6. CANCELLATION GUARANTEE:
Once registration has been completed, the registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
At the time of registration, the runner may purchase a cancellation guarantee for their registration,
with two options, with the obligation to select one when registering:
- 1) I do not want any guarantee
- 2) Cancellation guarantee. Cost 15% of the registration fee.
- 100% refund of the registration fee
- The cancellation guarantee may only be purchased at the time of registration. ● The amount
of the cancellation guarantee is non-refundable.
- Changes of ownership will not be accepted.
- It is essential to purchase it at the time of completing registration.
ARTICLE 7. CATEGORIES AND CLASSIFICATIONS
7.1. CATEGORIES
The following categories are established:
- Under 20: born in 2007 and 2008.
- Under 23: born in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
- Senior M / F: born in 2003 up to 35 years old.
- Master M35 / F35: from 35 to 39 years old.
- Master M 40 / F 40: from 40 to 44 years old.
- Master M 45 / F 45: from 45 to 49 years old.
- Master M 50 / F 50: from 50 to 54 years old.
- Master M 55 / F 55: from 55 to 59 years old.
- Master M 60 / F 60: from 60 to 64 years old.
- Master M 65 / F 65: from 65 to 69 years old.
- Master M 70 / F 70: over 70 years old.
…. And up to the oldest athlete to complete the race according to the regulations.
- Wheelchair Athlete (Mixed) M/F*
*special categories. All indicated ages must be reached on the day of the race.
7.2. RANKINGS
The following rankings will be established for statistical and race control purposes:
- Overall Men’s and Women’s General Classification.
- Overall Mixed Wheelchair Athlete Classification.
- Men’s and Women’s age group classification.
However, the awards ceremony for the race is limited to what is established in article 8.
ARTICLE 8. AWARDS
All participants in the race who finish within the official time limit will receive a finisher medal.
This race will not award prize money. The awards ceremony will consist exclusively of a
trophy for the top 3 male finishers and top 3 female finishers in the Overall General Classification
(men and women).
To collect the trophy, presentation of an ID card, passport or other official document proving the
athlete’s identity is mandatory.
8.1. CLAIMS
All rankings are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the members of the RFEA Judges Committee.
Claims affecting the top three positions of the General Classification must be submitted in writing to
the Referee within a maximum period of 30 minutes from the publication of the rankings, who will make
the decision.
Corrections must be sent in writing to the marathon email address: info@maratoncostadelsol.com, before
the Wednesday following the race.
The Organization will communicate claims/corrections within a maximum period of 10 days, after which the
rankings will be considered final. Therefore, all trophies will be provisional until that moment.
ARTICLE 9. RACE BIBS
The location of the Runner’s Expo will be announced soon through the Marathon’s official channels.
To collect the race bib, runners must present the registration receipt or copy and their ID card,
passport or other official document proving their identity.
Race bibs will not be distributed on race day.
Race bibs must be worn clearly visible on the front of the torso throughout the entire race and may not
be modified.
The race bibs include a disposable timing chip, therefore they may not be folded or manipulated.
ARTICLE 10. DISQUALIFICATIONS
Grounds for disqualification include:
- Providing false information on the registration form (age, residence, etc.).
- Not completing the full course.
- Not passing through the timing checkpoints located on the course.
- Not wearing the race bib clearly visible on the chest, or altering or concealing its advertising. ● Running
with a race bib and/or chip assigned to another runner.
- Not following the instructions of the judges and/or Organization staff.
- Having given their race bib to be photocopied and used by another runner.
- Refusing to undergo a doping control.
- Displaying unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Not meeting the split times required for a 2h45 finish pace.
ARTICLE 11. REFRESHMENT STATIONS
Refreshments will be provided to runners along the course and in the post-finish area designated for
this purpose. There will be refreshment stations with water and isotonic drinks at kilometers 5, 10, 15 and 20.
Solid food refreshments will be available at some of the refreshment stations located from kilometer 15 onwards.
ARTICLE 12. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
The Estepona Half Marathon 2026 will have the necessary Medical Services to assist runners during the
race. The Organization recommends that all participants undergo a medical check-up prior to the race,
with each participant accepting the risks derived from sporting activity.
Likewise, the athlete declares that they are in optimal physical condition to take part in this race and
do so under their own responsibility.
Any athlete with health problems is obliged to notify the Organization in writing beforehand, mark their
race bib with a red cross and include on it their name, address, telephone number and health condition.
They will be required (for their safety) to communicate this in writing before the race takes place
(indicating their race bib number).
A Physiotherapy and Podiatry service may be available, shared with the Marathon service, for the exclusive
use of runners who have suffered some type of injury.
The Medical Services will be authorized to withdraw any runner showing poor physical condition.
ARTICLE 13. LIABILITY
The Organization has accredited Civil Liability insurance for the holding of the race.
ARTICLE 14. BAG DROP SERVICE
The Organization will provide a bag drop service, shared with the Marathon service, where runners may
deposit their belongings, with no responsibility accepted for the items deposited there.
The Organization staff of the Bag Drop Service may ask runners to open their bags before depositing them
in order to inspect their contents. If a runner refuses to open a bag, the Organization may refuse to
accept that bag.
ARTICLE 15. AUTHORIZED VEHICLES
The only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those accredited by the Organization. It is
strictly prohibited to follow runners in any type of motorized or wheeled vehicle
(skates, bicycles, etc.), and the Estepona Local Police are expressly instructed to remove them from
the course.
A sweep vehicle will mark the cut-off time for each section of the race, after which runners must leave
the course and withdraw from the race following the instructions of any member of the organization. In
the case of runners who are unable to continue the race and require medical assistance, they must inform
this vehicle or any member of the organization, who will notify the Half Marathon medical services.
ARTICLE 16. UNAUTHORIZED DEMONSTRATION
Any type of demonstration by persons that may endanger the safety of participants and the holding of the
event is prohibited and such persons will be removed by law enforcement authorities.
ARTICLE 17. ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS
All participants, by registering, accept these Regulations and the RFEA rules. In case of doubt, the
Organization’s criteria shall prevail.
ARTICLE 18. ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLICATION (DATA PROTECTION POLICY)
The data provided will be incorporated into a file under the responsibility of Last Lap SL for the
purpose of managing the personal data of people participating in the different activities and events
organized by the company, as well as sending by any means, including electronic means, information and
advertising about products and services of our company, as well as products and services of those
sponsors and/or collaborators of the event.
By registering, the participant authorizes Last Lap SL to record their image during their participation in the event or activity, and the use of the photographs or videos taken for commercial purposes and for the promotion and dissemination of the event, in any media.

Likewise, we inform you that you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection regarding your personal data by sending a written request and attaching a photocopy of your ID card or passport, to the Information Office for personal data files, located at calle La Granja Nº22, 28100, Alcobendas, Madrid.
