Costa del Sol Estepona Marathon: An event with its own identity

The Costa del Sol Estepona Marathon was created with a clear vision: to become a benchmark on the national and international calendar, focusing on a carefully curated, exclusive format centered around the runner.

Building on the success of the Estepona Half Marathon, this new event takes a step forward with the addition of two official distances: 21K and 42K, opening participation both to runners looking to take on the distance for the first time and to those pursuing new personal challenges.

The event is presented under the concept of a “Boutique Marathon”, a distinctive proposal that limits participation to 2,000 runners in this first 2026 edition. This allows for a more personalized experience, avoiding overcrowding and guaranteeing attention to detail in every aspect of the race: from the course to runner services.

In addition, the event maintains a strong commitment to its surroundings, offering special conditions and exclusive advantages for local runners and those from nearby areas such as Campo de Gibraltar and the Western Costa del Sol.
