ARTICLE 1. PRESENTATION
LAST LAP S.L. organizes the Costa del Sol Marathon, to be held on
Sunday, October 11, 2026, starting at 8:30 a.m., and in which all adults who wish to do so may participate without any distinction.
ARTICLE 2. CERTIFICATION
The course will measure 42.195 meters and will be duly certified. This race is held under the WA and RFEA Road Race Regulations, and is included in the AIMS calendar. The route will be marked and signposted every kilometer.
ARTICLE 3. COURSE
With Start and Finish at the Estepona Municipal Athletics Stadium and the course published on the official Marathon website, www.maratoncostadelsol.com
ARTICLE 4. SCHEDULE AND CUT-OFF TIMES
The Start will be given at 8:30 a.m. and the maximum time to complete the race is 5 hours 30 minutes from the official start, so the Finish will close at 2:00 p.m.

Participants who do not meet these cut-off times will be disqualified by the race officials, being considered from that moment as runners out of control and out of the race, leaving the traffic lanes if necessary.
ARTICLE 5. WHEELED DEVICES AND APPARATUS
The use of any wheeled device or apparatus during the race is not allowed (including handbikes), except for wheelchairs of disabled athletes, certified by the Federation and officially admitted by the Organization.
ARTICLE 6. REGISTRATION
6.1. REGISTRATION PERIOD:
From March 1, 2026, until Monday, October 5, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., online, or until the 3,000 available bib numbers are sold out.
If bib numbers remain available, a specific counter will be enabled during the runners expo.
6.2. REGISTRATION FEES AND DEADLINES:

6.1.- To certify disability status, it will be necessary to attach a disability certificate greater than 33% at the time of registration through the registration form itself.
Alternatively, a copy of the disability degree card may be sent by email to the same address.
6.2.- From 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, the registration period will close, unless the organization deems it appropriate to extend said period.
6.3.- HOW TO REGISTER:

6.4.- CONSIDERATIONS:
- Registration is personal and non-transferable and implies full acceptance of the Technical Regulations of the race, including the Responsible Declaration included therein (Annex 1).
- Under no circumstances, once registration is completed, may participation be transferred to another person due to inability to participate in the race or any other reason.
6.5.- CANCELLATION GUARANTEE.
Once registration is completed, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. At the time of registering, the runner may take out a cancellation guarantee for their registration, with two options, being required to select one when registering:
- 1) I do not want any guarantee
- 2) Cancellation guarantee. Cost 15% of the registration fee.
- 100% refund of the registration
- The cancellation guarantee can only be purchased at the time of registration.
- The cost of the cancellation guarantee is non-refundable
- No changes will be accepted
- It is essential to purchase it at the time of completing registration.
ARTICLE 7. CATEGORIES AND RESULTS
7.1. CATEGORIES
The following categories are established:
- Sub 20: born in 2005 and
- Sub 23: born in 2002, 2003 and
- Senior M / F: born in 2001 up to 35 years old.
- Master M35 / F35: from 35 to 39 years old,
- Master M 40 / F 40: From 40 to 44 years old,
- Master M 45 /F 45: from 45 to 49 years old, completed
- Master M 50/ F 50: From 50 to 54 years old,
- Master M 55/ F55: from 55 to 59 years old,
- Master M 60/ F 60: From 60 to 64 years old,
- Master M 65/ From 65 to 69 years old completed.
- Master M 70/ F 70: Over 70 years old,
…. And up to the oldest athlete who completes the race according to the regulations
- Disabled (Mixed) in Wheelchair M/ F*
- Disabled (Mixed) Physical/Intellectual M/ F*

* All indicated ages must be reached on the day of the race.
*minors are not allowed to participate in the marathon distance.
7.2. RESULTS

ARTICLE 8. AWARDS
All race participants will receive, once finished within the official time limit, a finisher medal.
The awards will consist, in all cases and categories mentioned in article 7.2 of these regulations, of a trophy and, when applicable, a cash prize.

Prizes (male and female) will be paid in full provided that the finishing times are under 2:16:00 for men and 2:45:00 for women; otherwise 50% will be paid.
If finishing times are over 2:27:00 for men and 2:55:00 for women, there will be no cash prize.

These prizes can be accumulated with the Overall Individual Awards and will only be paid in full when the finishing time is under 2:18:00 for men and 2:45:00 for women. Otherwise 50% will be paid.
If finishing times are over 2:27:00 for men and 2:55:00 for women, there will be no cash prize.
All cash prizes are subject to legal withholdings and to the recognition of the time by the RFEA. Participants who obtain cash prizes and who must undergo doping control will not receive payment until the results are in possession of the Organization.
To collect any prize it is essential to present the DNI, passport or another official document that proves the athlete's identity.
For athletes who achieve national or international records, it will be mandatory to undergo doping control.
8.1. CLAIMS
All results are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the members of the RFEA Judges Committee.
Claims affecting positions in the results with prize allocation must be submitted in writing along with €100 to the Referee within a maximum period of 30 minutes from the publication of the results, who will decide. If the runner is found to be right, the €100 will be refunded.
Corrections must be sent in writing to the marathon’s email: info@generalimaratonmalaga.com, before the Wednesday following
the race.
The Organization will communicate the claims/corrections within a maximum period of 10 days, after which the
results will be considered final. Therefore, all trophies and prizes will be provisional until that moment.
ARTICLE 9. BIB NUMBERS
The location of the Runner’s Expo will be announced soon through the Marathon’s official channels.
To pick up the bib number, runners must present the receipt or a copy of the registration and their ID card,
passport or another official document that proves their identity.
Bib numbers will not be handed out on race day.
Bib numbers must be worn clearly visible on the front of the torso throughout the entire race and may not be
modified.
Bib numbers include a disposable chip, so they must not be folded or tampered with.
ARTICLE 10. DISQUALIFICATIONS
Grounds for disqualification:
- Providing false information in the registration (age, residence,).
- Not completing the course
- Not passing through the timing checkpoints located on the
- Not wearing the bib number clearly visible on the chest, or altering or hiding the event’s
- Running with a bib number and/or chip assigned to another
- Not following the instructions of the judges and/or Organization staff.
- Having given your bib number to photocopy it and be used by another runner in the marathon.
- Refusing to undergo the control
- Having inappropriate behavior
- Not meeting the split times required for a finish pace of
ARTICLE 11. AID STATIONS
Aid stations will be provided to the runners along the course and in the finish area set up for this purpose.
There will be aid stations with water and isotonic drink at kilometers 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40.
There will be solid food available at some of the aid stations located from kilometer 20 onwards.
ARTICLE 12. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
The Estepona Costa del Sol 2026 marathon will have the necessary Medical Services to attend to the runner during the
event. The Organization recommends that all participants undergo a Medical Check-up prior to the race, with each
participant accepting the risks derived from the sporting activity.
Likewise, the athlete declares to be in optimal physical condition to complete this race and does so under their own
responsibility.
Any athlete with health issues is required to notify the Organization in advance in writing, mark their bib number
with a red cross and state on it their name, address, telephone number and the health issue they suffer. They will
be required (for their safety) to communicate this prior to the race, in writing (indicating their Bib Number).
A Physiotherapy and Podiatry service may be provided, which will be exclusively for runners who have suffered some
type of injury. The Physiotherapy service will not be used, under any circumstances, as a relaxing or recovery
massage.
The Medical Services will be authorized to withdraw any runner showing poor physical condition.
ARTICLE 13. LIABILITY
The Organization has a certified Civil Liability insurance for the event.
ARTICLE 14. BAG DROP SERVICE
The Organization will provide a bag drop service where runners may deposit their belongings, and will not be held
responsible for the items left there.
The Organization’s Bag Drop staff may ask runners to open their bags before depositing them, to inspect their
contents. Should a runner refuse to open a bag, the Organization may refuse to accept it.
ARTICLE 15. AUTHORIZED VEHICLES
The only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those accredited by the Organization. It is strictly forbidden
to follow the runners in any type of motor vehicle or wheeled device (skates, bicycles, etc.), with the Local
Police of Málaga being expressly instructed to remove them from the course. A sweep vehicle will be available to set
the cut-off time for each section of the race, after which the runner must leave the course and abandon the race
following the instructions of any member of the organization. In the case of runners who are unable to continue and
require medical attention, they must notify this vehicle or any member of the organization, who will inform the
marathon’s medical services.
ARTICLE 16. UNAUTHORIZED DEMONSTRATION
Any type of demonstration by individuals that may put at risk the safety of participants and the holding of the
event is prohibited, and such individuals will be removed by law enforcement authorities.
ARTICLE 17. ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS
All participants, by completing their registration, accept these REGULATIONS and the Rules of the RFEA, FAA, WA and
AIMS. In case of doubt, the Organization’s criteria shall prevail.
ARTICLE 18. PUBLICATION ACCEPTANCE (DATA PROTECTION POLICY)
The data provided will be incorporated into a file under the responsibility of Atres Advertising,
S.L.U., whose purpose is the management of the personal data of the people who participate in the different
activities and events organized by the company, as well as sending through any means, including electronic,
information and advertising of products and services of our company, as well as products and services of those
sponsors and/or collaborators of the event related to the telecommunications, financial, legal services, sports,
housing, insurance, leisure and tourism, employment and training, mass consumption, automotive, energy, messaging,
transport, nutrition, water and NGO sectors.
By registering, the participant authorizes Atres Advertising, S.L.U. to record their image during their participation
in the event or activity, and to use the photographs or videos taken for commercial purposes and for the promotion
and dissemination of the event, in any medium.

subject line.
Likewise, we inform you that you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition of
your personal data by sending a written request and attaching a photocopy of your ID card or passport to the
Personal Data File Inquiry Office, located at Avda. Isla Graciosa Nº13, 28703, San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid.
By completing your registration, you declare that you have been informed of the terms contained herein and expressly
